Hardness Plus (1KG)
Ensure your hot tub water is perfectly balanced with our premium Hardness Increaser.
Specially formulated to raise calcium hardness levels, this easy-to-use solution helps prevent corrosion, scale buildup, and cloudy water.
By maintaining the right water hardness, you’ll protect your hot tub’s components, extend its lifespan, and enjoy a more comfortable soak every time.
Your spa water needs to contain a Calcium Hardness of between 200 parts per million (ppm) and 300 ppm.
Keep your water clean, clear, and safe with our top-quality hardness increaser—your hot tub will thank you!
Test the Water:
Use a water test strip or kit to check the current calcium hardness level of your hot tub water. The ideal range is typically between 150-250 ppm (parts per million), but check your manufacturer’s recommendations.
Calculate the Amount Needed:
Refer to the product label for specific instructions on how much hardness increaser to add based on your hot tub's water volume and current hardness level. Typically, you’ll need 1-2 ounces per 100 gallons to increase the hardness by 10 ppm.
Turn On the Jets:
Activate the hot tub jets to help circulate the water and evenly distribute the hardness increaser.
Add the Hardness Increaser:
Slowly sprinkle the recommended amount of the hardness increaser directly into the water, preferably around the perimeter to ensure even distribution.
Wait and Re-Test:
Let the water circulate for at least 15-30 minutes, then re-test the calcium hardness levels. If necessary, add more hardness increaser in small increments until the desired level is reached.
Adjust pH and Alkalinity:
After adjusting the hardness, re-test and adjust pH and alkalinity levels if needed to ensure overall water balance.
